Wall Mount Hood Installation — What to Know Before You Buy

Wall Blocking or Stud Location
Confirm stud locations or install blocking in the wall behind the range before the hood arrives. The hood mounts directly to the wall and requires adequate structural support.

Duct Routing — Top or Back
Plan your duct route before installation day. Top vent routes up through a cabinet or soffit; back vent exits through the wall behind the range. Download the back venting guide below for back vent specifications.

Dedicated Electrical Circuit
A 115V dedicated circuit at the wall behind or above the hood must be completed by a licensed electrician before installation.

Duct Cover & Finish Match — Order Separately
A matching wall mount duct cover is required. Finish must match the hood. Contact us to confirm the correct size and finish before ordering.

Mounting Height — 24 Inches
Mount the bottom of the canopy 24 inches above the cooking surface. Confirm against local code before finalizing installation height.
